I’m drawn to the details that make a face unmistakably theirs: a twinkle in the eye, a fleeting micro-expression, the slight hump of a nose, the little things you may not be able to name but would recognize anywhere.
Each Inkling begins with the reference images you send. I spend time sitting with them, looking closely and noticing those small, human details that give a face its character. From there, I illustrate a stylized portrait that goes beyond simple likeness to capture something distinctly and recognizably them.

From there, I work directly on the canvas with acrylic paint, building texture, depth, dimension, and character by hand through carefully placed details and highlights.
